Hello friends! IJK here. It's been a while I haven't posted on this blog, the past few months have been nothing short from hectic. I am thrilled to announce the release of The Red Bond, my latest animated short movie. This is a very personal project I have been working on for the past two years and I am delighted to have it now publicly available on mainstream video platforms. As some of you may know, the movie has garnered very positive reviews and has been officially selected at several film festivals around the world including The Lebanese International Film Festival and The New York Movie Awards to name a few. I am happy to announce it has also received a few awards including awards from The Amsterdam Short Film Festival, The Reale Film Festival and The IndieFEST Film Awards. The Red Bond tells the story of a hunter who chases a deer into a mysterious cave. It is a fantasy story with cool visuals and the soundtrack is a remix version of The Red Light Inn, a single part of my first EP. You can watch The Red Bond below: I hope you enjoy the movie! Speak very soon, Peace & Love IJK

Hello friends and followers! I have recently released a cover version of a brilliant French song originally performed by Daniel Balavoine for Starmania, a famous rock opera in the seventies and eighties. The song was later performed by numerous artists such as the Canadian crooner Bruno Pelletier, the Kazakh star Dimash Kudaibergen, the French singer Calogero...etc. It is a truly beautiful song with moving lyrics and requiring powerful vocal acrobatics. This is one of my favorite French songs and I especially like how it starts slow, builds up slowly before exploding into an aria of emotions and soaring vocals. To understand what I mean, check out my version below. Talk soon, IJK Hello friends and followers! I hope you had a nice summer break despite everything wrong going on in the world right now. Of course, whatever happens, we have to always remain hopeful, keep our heads high and fight, for life is nothing but a series of endless challenges. On a happier note, I would like to share with you my latest cover song which I was busy recording over the past few weeks. It is a brilliant classic song, originally released in Italian and later on covered by none other than the king himself, Elvis. Here is my rendition of "It's Now Or Never" (O Sole Mio in Italian). I hope you enjoy the song and its music video! Note: Video footage shot by my lovely wife Marianne. Speak soon, IJK Hi Everyone, It's been a while my last update on this blog. The past few months were quite difficult on everybody amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. I hope you are all safe and well! Despite these challenging times, my wife and I have been able to write and produce a song for our latest newborn, a sweet little angel called Luciana. We have even created a fun, cute and colorful music video for her, check out "Lucci" below :) On another note, I am currently working on several musical projects so stay tuned for further updates! Love & respect IJK Hello folks! I have been away for some time working on new materials that I plan to release in 2021. Meanwhile I have just released a cover for the jolly season. It is one of my favorite Christmas songs by none other than the King of Rock'n'Roll himself. Here is the full lyric video for Blue Christmas, I hope you enjoy it! I am also delighted to share with you a nice review the song recently received from a renowned music critic from Canada:

Love & respect IJK "You know I can't be found, sitting home alone, if you can't come around, at least please telephone..." Here's how this rock & roll tune by none other than the King himself starts. I happened to record a home made live version with only vocals on acoustic guitar. Here's the clip ! A few updates on what I'm currently working on: A new Christmas song! More details soon... Take care, stay safe. IJK Hello friends and followers! It's been a difficult past few months for most of us battling the Corona crisis and trying to make sense of our lives confined at home. I hope you are all safe and well. Like everybody else, I took advantage from these times at home to do what I do best, and hence I am currently writing and recording a number of new songs. I hope you too are trying to creatively be productive during this trying period. I also took the chance to record a long overdue cover of one of my favourite all-time classic ballads by Paul Anka and made famous by none other than the legendary Frank Sinatra. Here is My Way...my way :) Enjoy it and till we speak again, stay safe! IJK Hello friends and followers! IJK here. I have been recently working on a number of exciting things one of which is a cover of this brilliant song by legendary French singer-songwriter Francis Cabrel called L'Encre De Tes Yeux (which literally means "the ink of your eyes"). I have performed and recorded an acoustic version of it in my cozy studio in Dubai, here it is: I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed recording it.
Speak soon! IJK Hello friends and followers!
2019 is almost ending and here we are again preparing for the big festivities. From my end, I have been busy working on my latest single called High Tide. The song talks about love, opportunities and big dreams (that come with big risks). It is definitely one of the best ones I have written so far. High Tide has a cool retro vibe with clean instruments and this live rock feel we all miss so much. I hope you will enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed creating it. The song was recorded at the Chapel Studios in London and was produced by renowned British producer Steven Williams who worked with Midge Ure, Tori Amos and The Pretenders. You can click above to watch the accompanying lyric video. Speak soon, IJK Hello friends and followers, I hope you are all well!
We are indeed going through very interesting times in our beloved country, Lebanon. I wanted to share with you my thoughts about what's happening knowing that this blog post is long overdue as I was extremely busy over the past month juggling between work and following the endless stream of breaking news. The Lebanese people have reached a turning point in their history whereby they have put aside all their political and religious differences for the sake of one national goal: The end of a corrupted sectarian political system that has plagued Lebanon for almost 30 years now and the birth of a non-sectarian national democracy built on integrity and meritocracy, and that puts the interest of the country first. Isn't this amazing? It is the first time we see all Lebanese people from different groups, regions, communities and religions gathered together in the streets, dancing, celebrating, protesting against corruption and chanting in unison their dreams of a better future for all. What a beautiful sight! What a beautiful revolution! It is so far a largely peaceful movement where men, women and children are taking part, where teachers, students, employees, workers, businessmen, artists and thinkers are participating each in their own way. But the revolution has also had its first martyr. However we all know that martyrs are the fuel of revolutions, and this noble death has only made protesters more tenacious than ever. If you were following my news over the past few months, you probably know I released a song called Chedd Halak in June 2019. This song, a satirical critic of the corrupted political class in Lebanon, had an accompanying music video that paints a dim picture of how our country's environment has been destroyed by greed, carelessness and corruption. But it also sends a strong message of hope and our ability to change things. I'd like to think of Chedd Halak as another statement among the millions of statements from Lebanese citizens that helped put in motion this "Intifada", this legitimate and noble revolution. I have recently given an interview about the context of Chedd Halak, if you are interested you can read it below: http://www.pmlngroup.com/ijk-imad-jack-karam-a-lebanese-artist-supporting-the-lebanese-revolution/ Finally, I believe tangible and significant change might take some time to materialise. That's OK. We, the Lebanese people, are here for the long term. The future of our kids is at stake. Our whole country is at stake. Long live the magnificent people of Lebanon! Long live our beautiful Lebanon! IJK |
