Hey folks, the wait is finally over!
I am pleased to announce the release of my latest single and first one in Lebanese. The song is called "Chedd Halak" which means something along the lines of "do some serious efforts" or "get your act together and make it happen!".
The song is a satire of the corrupted political clique in Lebanon and is a form of wake-up call to avoid the demise of the economy and environment of the country.
Here is the original music video, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it,
IJK is happy to announce to his fans and followers that "Johnny & June" has won the 2nd place in the Asia category at the International Anim!Arte Film Festival in Brazil, 2018 edition.
The animated video clip has been screened to a large audience in the Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro, São Luís and São Paulo, and the winners have been announced in May 2019.
Thanks for all those who contributed to this music video especially Matias Cabrera for the execution.
For those who haven't seen "Johnny & June" yet, here is the clip next to the certificate of award:
With lush beach landscapes, beautiful lyrics written by mum and an upbeat music composed and performed by dad, Sienna (IJK's daughter) has now an original music video / song dedicated to her.
The song is a rock & roll inspired dynamic tune with a joyful melody. Beloved Sienna, here is mum & dad's gift to you this Easter:
Hello friends and followers!
I have recently recorded a cover version of one of my favorite rock songs of the 2000's by The Calling - Wherever You Will Go. I particularly like the lyrics of this song and the verses sang in the low notes. Very warm and emotional at times :D
Check it out below:
Hope you like it!
Speak very soon,
Hello friends & followers! IJK here.
Thought of giving you the latest updates. Here's the big news: I am currently working on my first song in...Lebanese! (Hell Yeah!)
I know, I know, it's about time :) We have already completed the production of the song and it sounds really, really cool. Actually, got some expert folks from Nashville to help on the mix.
What to expect? Well, a combination of awesome rocking riffs, a rhythmic melody and cool Lebanese lyrics. You can say this is East meets West, a cool fusion of styles in pure Lebanese fashion.
We are busy right now shooting a kick-ass music video. We've partnered this time with director Nadim Tabet, a rising talent who recently released his first feature film called One Of These Days.
Here are a few stills directly from the set...Stay tuned!
IJK recently recorded an awesome version of the legendary love ballad, Unchained Melody. Written in 1955 by North & Zaret, the song was first recorded by singer Todd Duncan for the film Unchained (hence the title of the song).
It has been subsequently recorded by numerous artists including Sam Cooke, U2, Elvis, Roy Orbison and Heart.
But the best known and most popular version was the one recorded by The Righteous Brothers in 1965 and used for the film Ghost featuring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.
IJK, a big fan of the song, has just released his own version in a retro style music video. On the menu, powerful vocals and an emotional performance, we hope you enjoy it!
Leading online magazine Jamsphere has recently reviewed IJK's latest single and music video, Johnny & June.
The release has been praised for the music arrangements, the powerful vocals and the beautiful animation. The review says:
"IJK makes excellent, well-thought-out, well-constructed, and well-executed music. Period. "
